Simply the best! The owner is fantastic and makes you feel welcome, as if in his home. Emily is an absolute sweetheart. We hardly ever have to recite our orders, she always remembers our choice drinks and food, impressive considering we've been here only five or so times. It's a can't miss in North Port. The food is a gluttons dream. The Gnocchi Bolognese is a home run and a steal at less then 12 bucks. The Red Mussels are divine, especially when paired with their glass of Chianti for $4.75. What!? Absolutely unheard of for a glass of wine in Southern Florida. Yep. I'll get fat for this. Absolutely will.

I have eaten in this new restaurant, and ordered takeout meals. Either way the service is very quick. The pizza sauce is amazing!! I usually order pizza with light sauce because I don't like the flavor, but this sauce is excellent! The Chicken Caesar salad is delicious. The stromboli is HUGE, and I just ordered the small one! The garlic knots...just Yum! The heaping bowl of Fettuccine Alfredo served as two meals! The staff goes out of their way to make you feel like family. If you want a piece of Brooklyn, stop by Zio's. :)

Not really sure where all of these reviews are coming from.... Maybe employees at work here. I went to this place and ordered their Chicken Pasta. Their pasta was under cooked and their chicken was over cooked. The sauce had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The one good thing I guess is the owner was there that night and he was very friendly. Although, the customer service doesn't overtake the bad food this place cooks up. I don't recommend this place to anyone! No wonder they are always empty when I drive by.

Love family establishments and this one was outstanding! We came in with a big table and the owner was very nice and talked to us while we were getting settled in. The owner's son was the one who took our order and he was very friendly and helpful as we were indecisive with the menu. The service was quick and he was on his feet the whole time making sure he was refilling our drinks and kept us happy! For the appetizer we decided on the Italian chicken wings. It's like a mix of sweet and salty, it has tons of flavor and very saucy. I really enjoyed it, I ate a lot of it too! No ranch/blue cheese needed!!! The size of the wings were also big, it wasn't those tiny wings that you can finish with one bite. We ordered 2 large pizzas for our big family and we decided on the margherita and the zio's special. The margherita was light and simple and the quality was fresh. Zio's special had alot of different meats on there, which all were fresh. Even the sausage was huge! The sauce was flavorful and light on the pizza. The crust was my favorite, I usually don't eat the crust but this time I had to! It was the perfect crunch. Great family owned place with delicious food and big portions! Must come here if you live around the area. Sadly for me this will probably be the one and only time I come here since I'm not from Florida and we just passed by this place coming from Cape Coral. But if I ever ever do, I'd come back here!

I hated our pizza. And I was starving. I've never had cold, raw, cherry tomatoes on a pizza in my life. When I read the description I thought it was prosciutto arugula and cooked tomatoes. I went here because of the good reviews. Not sure how they steered us wrong.

IF I COULD ID GIVE THIS A 1/2 A STAR DOSENT DESERVE A WHOLE STAR AT ALL.... This was the worst experience I've ever had at a diner.. The food was gross, way too expensive...and took a very long time to get to us. That wasn't even the worst part. The waitress we had was the most rudest waitress I've ever had... She was very disrespectful and treated us like we were no body... I will not be going back again. I HIGHLY recommend not going there waste of time and money...... All the five star reviews on here are employees I would believe. But could be wrong. Just know I've had the worst possible restaurant experience of all time.

We always get the zios special and the mozzerella caprese. It is so great to just call and pick it up in my way home from work. The mozzerella is the best I've ever had! Amazing! If you need it delivered they are fast and friendly.

Primavera Pizza was outstanding. Friendly service made us feel welcomed. The large pizza was more than enough for two adults and a kid; we had three big slices left over. Although I don't live in the area, I will stop by next time through.

I promised I would try Zio's again a couple of weeks ago and let you all know what we thought. We sat in and we each got something different...husband, 2 kids and myself... Everything was DELICIOUS. Nice size portions and very friendly service. We decided to get a carry out this past weekend and didn't want pizza so we tried their Hoagies. OMG. DELICIOUS! My son and I shared a large hicken Parmesan, hubby had the meatball hoagie and daughter had the cold one(can't remember name) Anyway, we highly recommend this place. Clean, friendly, delicious and affordable! We will be eating there every week from now on :) Oh we also got one dessert to take home. Not sure it was called but it was peanut butter and chocolate...again DELICIOUS.

Ok, I love there pizza. It is easily top 2 with Michealangelo's. Their Italian anitpatso salad is amazing. The garlic npts are very small but very tasty. The calzone is awsome. The pasta Fazul is the best in north port. The waitress that always waits on us is always sweet and she has remembered us and what we haf ordered from the first time on. They are a bit pricey but I'll pay for good food. At times it can be slow to get the food but from my experience, they do care. The last time in I couldn't eat all me Gnocchi Bolenese, which is really good btw, and they kept checking in with me to make sure nothing was wrond with it. They ultimately l, without asking took an entre off the bill for it taking a bit long. But all and all I feel they are a great family restaurant with good food!

Pizza was excellent, authentic NY style. Ordered vodka pasta which was great. Took order to go and everything was hot and fresh when we got home. Service was great. Friendly staff. Friday night at 7pm the place was packed - and for good reason. Will be back again.

Terrific meal. The chicken Parmesan & the Marsala were amazing. Our waitress Amy could not have been nicer or more helpful. You get a nice feeling in this place. My mother liked the Italian music playing and the warm atmosphere. Small place but big on quality, personality and friendliness. Go there you won't regret it!

We ordered a pizza pie a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. We tried it again last night a shared an entree of gnocchi bolognese and it was amazing. This is a great place and the portions are very generous. This has become our Italian go to place now.

Northeast pizza lover here. I know good pizza. Got a takeout pizza at newly opened Zio's. They just opened, so I will give them some slack, but pizza was hastily made, with very little cheese and toppings, and some pieces had lots of stuff on them, (one piece was almost entirely onions in a combo order) and another was almost bare. It was sliced sloppily, too, with one triangle piece being 2" and another 5". Sauce was ok, but slices were a little greasy and toppings did not taste the freshest. After a couple months, hopefully they will tweak the attention they put into making their pizzas, and increase both quality and quantity of ingredients ($16 bucks for a smallish 12" is fairly steep). The crust was ok, thin crust, a little soggy in places (even though we ordered it well done). Staff was helpful, but busy, even though there were just 2 or three parties seated in the tiny restaurant. This place is cozy, and could do well if they just focus on making excellent pizzas. They are not there yet-- they averaged a 4.5 out of 10 from the people with me who tried the pizza, (neither said they'd eat there again) but the place does have potential. I'm willing to give them a month more+ or so to get enough feedback in order to tweak their pizzas from "blah" (and no attention to detail), to good or very good, well-made NY style pizzas, with quality fresh ingredients and normal amounts of cheese, and non-rushed/thrown on topping placement. It seems they are trying hard and I hope they respond and make every pie they serve of high quality. They aren't there yet.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
